Many of you know about my main vice - custard!
Well, I've gone cold turkey since coming out here, even though you can buy good old Bird's powder in the supermarket here.
When in Rome and all that, so I've been sampling all sorts of local desserts here. Some are pretty nice, while others are, let's say, not so nice on the palette (or the eyes!). I have zeroed in on my favourite though, that well known dish in Belmullet - 'bo bo cha cha'! (pictured above, 10 seconds before I demolished it!)
Despite sounding like an exotic dance for cows, it's very nice! It is warm sago (no obvious jokes, please!) with pieces of fruit and yam in it. Highly recommended if you're ever out this way!
