Newsflash!

Well folks,

Now that I've told the woman closest to my heart (me mammy, of course!), I can now break the news here on aidaninasia to you, my loyal and appreciative readership!

I am returning to the auld sod on March 23rd.

Yes, on Thursday week, I'll be back amongst my people! So, prepare to lock up your daughters etc. again! I advanced the departure by two weeks for 3 main reasons:

1. My latest visa expires on the 22nd (my flight leaves Singapore just before midnight on that date). I could go across the bridge or fly somewhere and return, but see reason three.

2. There is a chance (albeit now a slim one) of a job interview in Dublin around that time.

3. There's nothing really to keep me here any longer. The job scene is as bad as ever and even herself is resigned to the inevitable. The long term problem previously described is an impasse, I'm afraid.

So, that's the plan, unless something nothing short of miraculous occurs in the next week or so.

I'll miss you all, my, sob, beloved fans (even though I'll be seeing most of you soon!)! You've made, sob, me what I am today - an unemployed, sunburnt nobody!!!!!
