Ma-ho-ney mo thóin!!!

It's funny the way you think something is great when you're a young dumb ass!

When I first saw the original Police Academy film (I would never admit to seeing any of the sequels!) years ago as a young teenager (God, I'm getting old!), I thought it was great and yer man who could make the noises was the coolest dude ever.

Boy, was I wrong! Saw the film again the other day, and what a load of rubbish it is too! And those noises were extremely naff!!

Maybe I've just lost my youthful innocence (as well as my long gone youthfulness)!

In relation to some films I disagree, the tallywhacker scene from porkies is still as funny now as it was back then, a film of the same genre.

PS Another useful statistic ... 1 person regularly contributing to your blog.... moi. Where are all the other friends & family?

Well Porkies is from the same era, but not exactly the same genre!

I wasn't allowed to watch itwhen it came out (hell, I wasn't allowed even to watch Dallas for years!), so I can't really comment! I guess some films age better than others.

Forgot about that stat. There are actually 2 very regular contributors, you and Kieran. Everyone else (if there is anybody else!) would want to pull their socks up!!!

had the same thing happen last week when i watched every which way but loose. Thought it was great when i was younger but its actually a complete pile of shite with the worst country and western soundtrack you ever heard!
Not one of Clint's best!

Indeed, Tomás (I presume!)

I have often thought of Clyde (the orangutan) lately actually. The Indonesian/Malay for person is "orang" which reminded me of orangutan which reminded me of Clyde everytime I saw the word!

For those interested, (h)utan means forest.

Not one of clint's best I agree, but he does make a shite film less shitty than it could have been if some other actor was in his place. Clint's best film of all time is The Outlaw Josey Wales, a timeless classic, if you haven't see I recommend

I reckon so!!

Every "phlegmophile/tobaccophile" would definitely agree with you, Tiger!!!

I liked Unforgiven also. Dirty Harry, of course, Million Dollar Baby even. But I draw the line at Paint Your Wagon (where Clint actually sings!)

I apologise if my diction occasionally includes words of ostensibly interminable magnitude that overburdens the cerebrum of some of my less perspicacious blogiphiles!!
