Thanks to everyone in Comhairle for their great send off. Down through the years, they have been very good to me and I appreciate that. I wouldn't take back those 6 years, 11 months and 4 days for anything!!!!!
I found out today that there is such a thing as a free lunch, as well as free cakes! I hope that I didn't mess up the speech up too much - it's just that I was choking back the tears!
On the plus side, I can wave goodbye to the weekly cross-country commutes after about 320 trips, 22000+ hours and 96,000 odd miles (153,600 km)! That's a lot of miles (kms) on the clock and I'm not getting any younger!
