Houston, we may have a problem!
Now, no one knows better than me that you should never mention ex-girlfriends/ boyfriends when you are with some one new. I have been guilty of that in the past, God knows! Indeed, I admit it, I have used it as a back pedalling maneuver (as if you haven't!).
Well, devotees, you will be pleased to know that I have not once mentioned any of my, err, 2 or 3 ex-girlfriends (depending on how you define the term!) to herself. Unfortunately, the reverse can not be said to be true. Hardly a day goes by but a new story about this ex or that ex comes out. Worrying times, eh girls?!! Or am I just paranoid? You decide!! It didn't help matters that today's "ex of the day" story involved a guy who didn't have a detailed career plan, liked to go with the flow and enjoyed video games and films!!! Sound like anyone you know, anyone?!!
All comments from females would be most welcome. No need to take my delicate sensibilities into account! Comments from Tiger D would be most unwelcome (and predictable!) however!!!!!!!

Make up some ex-girlfriends and mention two of them every time Yulie mentions one ex-boyfriend. Is she aware of this blog, though? Yulie, are you reading these comments?

Hmm. You're probably over sensitive to this. She may only be disclosing details of her exes merely in the spirit of sharing information about herself etc. As a veteran of such minefields meself, I'd suggest saying something like - 'he sounds like a great guy, I'd love to meet him sometime' The bold display of confidence will outshine any spurious nostalgic thoughts she might have. Anyway as a general philosophy in these matters I advocate the Henry Kissinger approach - Realpolitik. Concern yourself with the actual and not the speculative. -Kieran

Apparantly here, it's quite acceptable to drone on about your former beau if it's a story relevant to the conversation. How unlucky for me to have steered the conversations into such ex friendly waters!!!
Hi Aidan, Firstly she is only trying to make you jealous.Is it working!!!! Some ladies use this method to see how much the boyfriend really likes them.(not talking from experience) If you give no reacion or go with Kierans suggestions she will soon get bored.

Thank you for your most helpful advice, which never can be too late, given my constant struggle against female domination! I'm not the jealous type really, but I admit to have been a little worried (why else would I have posted, says you!). Luckily the ex factor has decreased noticably in the past week since I brought it to her attention, thereby finally passing the "test" (or test number n, where 1000 < n < infinity!!!).
Either that or (a) she's read the blog or (b) she realises now that the other chumps don't hold a candle to yours truly!!!!
