Apologies - I had inadvertENTly turned the commments off by default. I have rectified that now and altered the past few posts so you lot can get your digs in, if you so desire!!!
Thanks to Tiger D for alerting me!

I assume you'll be catchin' the hurlin' on Saturday. Make sure you take herself and show her a real man's game. (Not that us Mayo men know anything about it like). Interestingly I see the local GAA have their own website (as well as a logo which looks suspiciously collonial - and not at all 'gaelic'). Anyway it might be a good spot to meet some expats and put the word out that 'you're lookin for a start'. -Kieran
Yep, Kieran. The Mayo jersey is ironed and ready for action! I'll be dragging "herself" to it alright, even at the risk of her finding a real Irish man!!!
We're on the same wavelength (scarier for whom?!). I'm on that GAA clubs's mailing list and possibly heading to Indonesia on Mon for a spot of bad golf with them.
And I shall be networking to beat the band on Saturday!!!!
ps Since it's hurling and all, I have a Galway baseball cap also.
Before you shout traitor, it has been specially modified at the back. "mo thóin" has been added after Gaillimh!!!!!!!!!!
Inadvertingly? Just because you're out foreign doesn't mean you can go making up words!
And I'd kill for some of that heat you keep complaining about.
Claire
You're worse than my uncle who used to go to Dublin for a match (i.e. drink)and wouldn't go to one in his backdoor in Tullamore. You are worse, you don't go to a match until it's in Singapore... a bit late to become a GAA diehard ... Tierney wouldn't be impressed, a true Mayo supporter! On that note I'm going to the offaly laois match in Portlaoise on Sunday, come on the faithful!

Well spotted, Claire. Just one of the tests I put in to see if anyone's reading this!!!
We can't all be writers, you know! It was late at night and my brain has been boiling slowly for the past week! I knew it was wrong, but when has that ever stopped me? (most of the time, to be fair!!)
And you wouldnt want this amount of humidity, whatever about the heat!
Isn't at ironic that a subject of the crown, a native of King's county, is calling my patronage of the Irish games into question (correct enough as he may be!!)?
In this insular world, us Paddys have to stick together when out foreign!!!!!!!
Don't forget your 'hang sandwiches' and flask of 'tae' on Sunday!
Finally, on a point of information, I was in Croke Park in 1977 and 1996!!!
In 1977 you were dragged there as a nipper, you hadn't a choice. 1996 is 10 years ago and was that at a match or a pop concert? Two years ago when Mayo were in the all-Ireland you were nowhere to be seen! Do singapore have a junior B team? If so the great JJ might come out of retirement, that's if he has had his fill of snorkelling in the great reefs of singapore
Tiger D
Excuse me, but I busted my knee the last time Mayo were there and had to give my ticket to my cousin (as you well know!)
The same dodgy knee precludes me from Junior B action!!
It's still wrong! INADVERTENTLY
Claire
That one I blame on my oncoming dementia!
Hope Ms Pedantic is hapy nowe?!!!!
Happy now, thanks. I won't criticise any more. Your blog is great and I'm enjoying it immensely. I hope you didn't mind that I put Kelly on to you.
Claire
Thanks Claire,
Glad someone is enjoying it!
No, I don't mind! I was talking to her over Skype for a while yesterday before my connection went. She couldn't find a better test subject!
