A tear almost came to my eye last night as I watched a film on TV. It was that Jackie Chan film - "Medallion", that was filmed in Ireland a year or two ago. I believe they gave him a load of money/grants to make it there.
What a waste of money! Such a load of rubbish. I don't know if the tear would have been out of laughter because the film was so bad or nostalgia to see parts of Dublin and elsewhere on screen! And there was no reason whatsoever for most of the film to be set in Ireland.
Still, any film that destroys even a small part of Dublin can't be all bad!!!

Just in case the rest of your friends don't know, Aidan is actually from Dublin, born there and lived his early days on St Aidans Avenue/Road. These swipes at the Dubs are all false bravado, he yearns to be on hill 16 with the rest of the Dublin yobs.
