The veracity of “Born Free” has been hotly disputed by a senior member of the Truth for Lions (TFL) today. The heart warming tale of feline-human interaction, based on mutual respect and love has been described as fallacious by the TFL spokescat “We in the TFL abhor our representation in the film and TV series. It has led the world into believing that all lions are living their life in liberty, free from human oppression when patently, that is not the case”. The TFL have accused the zoo of further insensitivity by placing the giraffe enclosure in full view less than 20 yards away “We believe that it constitutes inhumane treatment to locate our favourite prey in such close proximity, yet tantalisingly out of reach”.
Singapore Zoo said their policy was not to comment on inter-species conflict.
