I thought that I had tasted bakery perfection when I had some bread from Roly's Bistro in Ballsbridge a while back.
I was wrong.
Herself just informed me the other day that they sold 'custard bread' in a local bakery. I know what you're thinking - why would they desecrate custard by putting it with bread? Exactly!
After castigating her for waiting two months to dispense that nugget, we went posthaste to said bakery (which I had passed umpteen times in the shopping centre!). It turned out to be a baguette, slit down the side and filled with custard. Both bread and the custard were very fresh. Heavenly! I, err, may have swung by there once or twice since!
