Creative differences affect writers

Yesterday, the team of chimps commissioned to re-write the works of Shakespeare for the modern audience called a press conference to describe difficulties with the project.

A spokesmonkey for the group said that a schism had formed between the traditionalists and the post-modernists in the motley ensemble of bohemian simians. Sources close to the post-modernists expressed dismay with the old fashioned beliefs of the older faction who yearned to return to simpler days of selling tea and befriending stars like Tarzan. The traditionalists, on the other hand, are unhappy with the deconstruction process employed by the younger chimps and are vigorously campaigning for the retention of the iambic pentameter in the updated work.

Singapore Zoo has offered to mediate in the impasse.
