Roomies

Do you remember the days, folks, when you were single, perhaps a student, and had to share a house with various other people? Wasn't it great when finally the house was full of people you liked and all was well in the world? The house was a joy to live in, everyone was nice, no one was messy or noisy. Ah, halcyon days indeed!

Remember, however, when some selfish, inconsiderate git moved out, ruining the status quo? Your staunch friend (or at least quiet, trouble free flatmate!) replaced by some total stranger. Out went the atmosphere of conviviality to be replaced with one of trepidation and uncertainty!

I, too, thought I had left all that far behind me, but unfortunately that was not the case once I landed here! There was a good bunch of people here until last week until "the git" moved out! Since this place is rented room by room, we have no say on what sort of stook the landlady puts in here. Today, myself and herself came back from lunch to find 2 middle-aged men in the flat! One (or both) may be here for some unknown period of time.

Not ideal by any means, but at least I don't have to stick it for too long!

That guy has left the house already thankfully, after just a few days.

He was an Indonesian businessman passing through. He was grand actually, but you'd have to wonder what class of a businessman would stay in this kip?!!!
