Flightplan

I had planned to pop down to visit my relations in Perth next week for about a week. However a number of things have happened in the past 24 hours to unfortunately cause me to change my plans.

First the flight I had booked turned out to be just short of double what they advertised it with all the sneaky fees, taxes and surcharges. That was a big disappointment because I'm tight!!!!! Seriously (although I am tight!), I felt like I was really getting shafted and I hate getting shafted! Then, herself announced that she wanted to go to Indonesia with me this week. I had planned a short trip to renew my Singapore visa (to save all that queuing in the immigration office again) on the way back in. That means I have to pay for 2 now, obviously. With no income, all that makes the Oz trip financially unattractive. Plus, there appears to be a decent chance of a job in Dublin that I may have to return home early for.

I was in Perth before about 14 years ago and in Sydney in August, so it's not as big a disappointment as it could have been. At least the Aussie branch of the family won't have to put up with me now! Every dark cloud..., eh?!!
