Action Station!

In the latest exposé of my crib - yo dogs, check out my snooze room, the room where it all happens, y'kno what I'm sayin'?

Featuring the world's flimsiest wardrobe, light beige tiling throughout and a desk from a 1950's Irish national school, this distinctly unhomely narrow cell has been my bedroom for the past few months. Tiles may strike some as being cold, but that's exactly what you want in hot places like this. Tiles are also very common in Mediterranean countries, as I'm sure most of you are aware. If you look at the right foreground you will see my office area, with library books (of course), blog generating machine (laptop!) and water bottles (within arm's length at all times!)

I even cleaned the room before taking this pic. The things I do for my fans! In fairness, I must give kudos to herself who cleaned it every week for me, whether it needed it or not!

Tune in next for a tour of the jacks!!! (just kidding!)

ps I promise never to try to talk like a homie again!!!

Herself would like me to point out that this apartment is not representative of what's available in Singapore!

It's a fairly old one and she thinks it's a bit of a dump as well!!

In all honesty, it is a kip, not a place for a man of your calibre should have to stay. It's a dump and having to share with people you don't know turning up on an unpredictable basis makes it sound very like prison. I would have left that dump after the first week, glad to see you have expedited your return home, common sense and a good doese of reality prevails at last ... failte ar ais aris!

Go raibh maith agat, Tiger D!

It's not that bad really, when you get used to it. It was always supposed to be temporary one way or another. The original plan was to get a job and move somewhere nicer.

The best laid plans of mice and men...eh?!

Two things that demand a comment..

1. You sleep on a stack of three matresses....?? What's that about?

2. Are those your pink runners under the bed?

Looking forward to the debriefing/lessons learnt session when you're back.

Well spotted, especially since you can't see one of them (the top layer in the pic is actually a sheet!)! It's not that I'm the prince and the pea or anything! Herself bought a new mattress for the bed ahead of my arrival. Boy, was she sold a pup! I'm not codding - it's harder than the tiles to lie on! That's the big one at the bottom. The other 2 are older soft ones (both covered by the one fitted sheet!) which make the bed sleepable in! Now you all know! I gave the poor girl an awful slagging about it!

The runners are definitely not pink. If they were, I would have hid them! They are actually grey, although they do have a poxy yellow trim!
